What do I get?
Our British Shorthair Queens live in our loving family home environment and get a lot of love and attention, therefore our British Shorthair Kittens grow up in the same environment. Because we breed within our family homes, we keep the number of litters we have small, and we ensure each kitten gets a lot of love and attention.
Our BSH kittens are also already adapted to household environments when they come to your home, so this means the transition process is smooth and you can enjoy your new family member straight away with no stress. They’re not scared of children, vaccum cleaners or general household noises!
Our British Shorthair kittens come:
- Desexed
- Microchipped
- 2 x Vaccinated
- Wormed
- Vet Checked
- with British Shorthair Pedigree Papers
- Toilet Trained
- 6 weeks Pet Insurance
- Confident and well socialised
- with a Kitten Pack
FAQs
What's your adoption process?
Please fill in the enquiry form on our website. You will receive an instant reply with the price of our kittens and further details of the adoption process.
Are you a closed cattery?
Please note, we are not a cattery. Our kittens are brought up in our homes, so we do have specifics on when you can visit the kittens in person.
Can I meet the kittens in person to choose a kitten?
Our kittens are very young and vulnerable so we don’t allow visits until our kittens have been vaccinated and are past 6 weeks of age. If only live vaccinations are available at the time, they may have to wait until 8 weeks old to be vaccinated.
To secure your kitten it is best to pay a deposit and choose via Pictures, Video and/or our suggestions. We can identify personality and match a kitten to you if you would like help with that. We can also do a video call if you would like to meet them on the spot. Otherwise, you will need to wait until after 6 weeks to meet and choose any available kittens that are left.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes. A deposit of $1,000 is required to secure a kitten. This is not refundable for change of mind decisions.
What is the minimum age your kittens can leave home?
As per the GCCFV guidelines, kittens must be at least 10 weeks of age before they can leave home.
Are male cats bigger than your female cats?
We have found that the size of our cats is purely individual and not based on gender (just like humans).
I've heard male cats are more affectionate than female cats?
Again, our cats personalities are all different. We could never put it down to gender. We get to know our kittens and their natures really well when they are with us in their formative weeks.
The time period between 3 to 7 weeks of age is really important to their social development. You can be confident that your kitten will be really well socialised, confident and affectionate as we handle our kittens lovingly and often in our home environments. They are cuddled by children and adults alike and are well suited to families or work from home adults. They are used to alot of attention so we do want to make sure they continue to get this in their new homes.
